This is an original illustrated map of Lewisham, a borough of London, UK, inspired by decorative antique map prints and entirely hand-drawn and digitally coloured.
Its decoration scheme references the area's rich diversity, culture and history. The borough coat of arms features at the bottom right; two illustrations at the bottom left and top right show views of the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill and the Laban Dance Centre in Deptford respectively; the border decoration is inspired by the Victorian railway station architecture prevalent in the borough; and the compass design references the clock faces on the tower at the top of Lewisham High Street.
