About
Mike is a British freelance illustrator and designer based in Valencia, Spain.
Born in 1986 in Harlow, UK, he has been fascinated by maps and architecture for as long as he can remember, spending endless days of his childhood drawing local buildings and maps of places both real and imaginary.
Since graduating from the University of Westminster in 2008 he has developed a specialism in map illustration and architectural drawings. His clients include publishers such as Bloomsbury, HarperCollins, Penguin, Random House and Scholastic, and he has designed maps for BBC Countryfile Live, Butlins, Goodwood and the Royal Horticultural Society.
He is represented by the international agency IllustrationX. For more details about his commissioned work, please visit Mike's portfolio website.
Prints
All of Mike's print designs are completely original, unique creations designed entirely by his hand, requiring many hours' worth of research, dedication and hard work.
All are inspired by his deep interest in maps and cartography, as well as design, culture, history, architecture and travel, and make the perfect gift for map lovers and travellers everywhere.
All prints are giclee and printed using a professional wide-format Epson SureColor printer and Ultrachrome HD archival inks on high quality, exhibition-standard paper.
