This is an original illustrated map of Camden, a borough of London, UK, inspired by decorative antique map prints and entirely hand-drawn and digitally coloured.
Its decoration scheme references the area's rich diversity, culture and history. The coat of arms at the top left of the image is the official arms of the borough and the smaller four shields reference heraldic symbols found on the coats of arms of Hampstead, St. Pancras and Holborn, the three former boroughs that merged to form the modern borough in 1965. The illustration at bottom left depicts the famous view from Primrose Hill towards Euston and Bloomsbury, whilst that at top right shows Kenwood House, near Highgate.
