Back in the early 1960s, when the map of Greater London was being redrawn, councillors across the city were tasked with creating new borough names - some inspired, some less so. Now it's your turn!

We're inviting entrants to take any existing London Borough and give it a fresh, new name. Think bold, witty or surprising. The most creative suggestions will win!

Need inspiration? Here are some suggestions:

  • Blend local neighbourhood names, for example King's Cross, Belsize Park and Hampstead in Camden could combine to become Kingsize Ham.
  • Nod to a landmark or a well-known place within that borough
  • Evoke a historic figure, event or place
  • Celebrate a community or culture rooted in that borough

Whatever your angle - make it memorable!

A copy of this colourful, limited edition map of Greater London could be yours!
Dimensions 70 x 50 cm/27.6 x 19.7 inches. Note: Frame not included.
