Price excludes VAT
This is an original illustrated map of Islington, a borough of London, UK, inspired by decorative antique map prints and the designs of MacDonald Gill (1884-1947), entirely hand-drawn and digitally coloured.
Its decoration scheme references the area's rich diversity, culture and history. The coat of arms at the right of the image is the official arms of the borough and the smaller three shields at bottom right reference historic landowners in the area. The two illustrations within the boxes at bottom left and top right show views of St Mary's Church in Upper Street, Islington and the clock tower in Highbury. The border decoration a neo-classical window frame inspired by the architecture prevalent in the borough.
