This unique map of Valencia in Spain is a digitally rendered design, inspired by the elegant visual style, coloration and typography of early twentieth-century city maps.
Major streets and thoroughfares, railway termini, metro stations, landmarks, parks, gardens, lakes and bridges are all carefully delineated and labelled. The courses of all the various underground railways are depicted by dashed black lines.
The design is finished with a simple, elegant border and title, with a symbol key and scale bar along the bottom edge.
It covers a large area of the city including the districts of Benimaclet, El Cabanyal-Canyamelar, Ciutat Vella (El Carme, La Xerea, Sant Francesc), L'Eixample, Extramurs, La Malva-Rosa, Mont-Olivet, Patraix and Russafa, and features landmarks including Las Arenas, the Ayuntamiento, the Cathedral, the City of Arts and Sciences, Mercat Central, Mestalla stadium, Museum of Fine Arts and the University campuses.
All names on the map are written in the local Valencian language.
